Abstract

Access to education for children in remote areas is often hampered by limited facilities and infrastructure, including a lack of adequate learning resources. Digital literacy programs are an innovative solution to overcome these obstacles by utilizing information technology to expand access to education. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of digital literacy programs in improving access and quality of education for children in remote areas. The research method used is case studies in several remote areas in Indonesia, with a qualitative approach through interviews and direct observation. The research results show that the digital literacy program is able to increase interest in learning, technology skills, and access to a wider range of educational materials. Apart from that, this program also provides training to teachers in using technology effectively. Thus, digital literacy not only expands access to education, but also improves the quality of the teaching and learning process.
